• Identify the content and relevance of news items, articles and reports on a wide range of topics.
• Scan quickly through long and complex text, locating relevant details. Writing The student will be able to:
• Write clear, well-structured texts of complex subjects, underlining the relevant salient issues, expanding and supporting points of view at some length
• Write clear, detailed descriptions of real or imaginary events and experiences marking the relationship between ideas in clear connected text.
• Write letters conveying degrees of emotion and highlighting the personal significance of events and experiences.
