Primary and secondary education is undergoing a profound transformation, thanks to the use of projects as a learning tool. This learning methodology, which has been gaining ground in recent years, is based on students working in teams to develop a specific project.
Projects allow students to develop key academic skills, such as critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving. These skills are essential for academic and professional success in adult life. Therefore, working on projects in primary and secondary education has become a common practice among teachers.
Projects can be used to teach academic content in an interactive and motivating way. This allows students to study topics in depth while developing skills such as research, organization, presentation and planning. Teachers can use projects to teach content from any area of knowledge, from sciences to languages.
In addition, projects are an excellent way to involve students in their own education. This allows them to take control of their learning and develop their curiosity and desire to investigate. Students also acquire a sense of achievement when they complete a satisfactory project.
